Hoping to connect in some way to everyone who listens to her music, FANTINE uses her passion for writing music as an outlet for self expression and places great emphasis on the lyrics she writes.

After a worldwind 2010 that saw FANTINE tour Australia and New Zealand as guest vocalist with underground electro soul collective SPACE INVADAS, starring cult hip-hop artist Katalyst and UK vocalist Steve Spacek (Warp), it was time to head out on a solo journey.

In early February 2011 FANTINE released her debut single "Rubberoom" across Australia and NZ and was instantly added to Australia's largest youth radio network Triple J.

What is a RUBBEROOM?

Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night with a great idea? Now, how often do you drag yourself out of bed to write it down? Almost never!

Instead, you go back to sleep only to wake up in the morning to find the idea has gone. You search your brain and try to relive any dreams you’ve had, but it’s disappeared. Where did it go?
It’s in the RUBBEROOM.

RUBBEROOM is a place where lost ideas go.

Next stop on FANTINE'S global journey is the UK where she will begin work on new material for her debut album with producer Jason Cox (The Gorillaz / Jamie T) in the studio he built with Damon Albarn.
