Sub Focus

Sub Focus – Splash ft Coco (10th May on Ram)
The release of his debut, self titled album at the end of 2009 turned Sub Focus into a phenomenon well beyond drum & bass circles, merging sounds as diverse as house, dubstep, techno, electro & vintage drum & bass with unprecedented skills. After being asked to remix I Blame Coco’s next single, on the strength of his outstanding reworks of Dizzee Rascal, The Prodigy & Empire Of The Sun, the idea of getting Coco to sing on the album track ‘Splash’ was born. With only one single under her belt & a highly anticipated debut album due later this year, Coco is already hailed for her explosive charisma & deep lyrics delivered with passion by a uniquely husky voice. The stunning contrast between her rough delivery & the slick techno groove & powerful guitar riffs of ‘Splash’ is stunning, & already proven a winner with Zane Lowe making it ‘Hottest Record In The World’ on the day he got the track. With more remixes, collaborations - with Example & Nero - & his first live tour supporting Pendulum, Sub Focus is taking his album to new levels.
