After stints at EMI and as a Director of SizeNine Eden Blackman decided to set up ish-media in November 2000 and in his own words 'has never looked back'. 'I love the freedom of being an indie plugger, having the option to take on acts I believe in and have the honesty to pass on acts I don't'. So far ish-media have bridged the gap between working on successful long term album campaigns such as Gossip, Orson, Mylo, Aaliyah, Taio Cruz, Jay Sean, Chase and Status, Example, MIMS and Bob Sinclar against the dance based releases from David Guetta, Royksopp, Booty Luv, Mason and Alex Gaudino. 'Our roster runs from Sub Pop to All Around The World'. ish-media are very proud of the unsigned acts they've helped secure deals with such as Hadouken, Julian Velard and Kids In Glass Houses. We have one simple rule - we have to love it to work it!

Eden Blackman
Eden started his industry training at A&M records as sales rep, a position he held for 6 weeks before being poached by EMI UK to join their expanding sales force (the 6 weeks was however long enough for him to write off two company cars within 24 hours). 2 years later and a heap of experience under his belt, he departed to learn the management game under the wing of Oliver Smallman & Dennis Ingoldsby - 1st Avenue Management but plugging was always in his blood so took the step to create an independent promotions company from scratch - Sizenine. 5 years from national plugger to Director, he left through the revolving exit door of Sizenine to set up ish-media in November 2000.
Charlie Hoole
A field in Liverpool - not the most likely of settings, but this is where Charlie's career began when she bumped into then London Records A&R man Phil Howells at one of the summer's many festivals. Fast forward a year and having graduated from Leeds University, she was seduced by both the bright lights of London and the opportunity to gain experience at Phil's newly born City Rockers label. Whilst there she began to split her time between Rockers and working for their plugger Eden, flying the coup in May 2002 to join ish towers full time. In her spare time you can find Charlie captaining the ish team to victory at the local pub quiz, spinning the best and worst of 80's sounds down the boozer on a Sunday, or photographing her favourite subjects - dogs and donkeys.
